BREAKING: 3 Dead, 3 Injured During Training Accident At Fort Stewart

The U.S. Army is reporting three soldiers were killed and another three soldiers were hospitalized on Sunday after a training accident.

While details of the incident are still unclear, Fox News reports six 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team Soldiers were involved in the incident when the Bradley Fighting Vehicle they were riding on crashed at the Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield in Georgia.

“Today is a heartbreaking day for the 3rd Infantry Division, and the entire Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield community, as we are all devastated after a training accident this morning on the Fort Stewart Training Area,” Major Gen. Tony Aguto, commanding general of the 3rd Infantry Division, said in a statement via Fox News. “We are extremely saddened by the loss of three Dogface Soldiers, and injuries to three more.”

“Our hearts and prayers go out to all the families affected by this tragedy,” he added.

The three soldiers who survived the crash were reportedly taken to Winn Army Community Hospital. Their conditions are not yet known.

The names of the deceased have not yet been released, as the military is reaching out to members of their family.
