People Respond to Obama, Hillary’s Easter Church Bombings Tweets: ‘Refuses Logic…Obviously Intentional’

Former President Barack Obama and former Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton coined a new term for the victims of the Sri Lanka terror attacks on Sunday morning, Twitchy reports.

Rather than call the over 200 people who were killed as they were in church celebrating Easter, Christians, they called them “Easter worshippers.”

“The attacks on tourists and Easter worshipers in Sri Lanka are an attack on humanity. On a day devoted to love, redemption, and renewal, we pray for the victims and stand with the people of Sri Lanka,” Obama said.

“On this holy weekend for many faiths, we must stand united against hatred and violence. I’m praying for everyone affected by today’s horrific attacks on Easter worshipers and travelers in Sri Lanka,” Clinton echoed.

For what it is worth, the term “Easter worshipers” is both politically and theologically wrong. Christians do not worship Easter—they celebrate it—by worshiping Jesus Christ.
