Joe Biden Promises Beto O’Rourke A Position To Lead Gun Control Push

Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden has promised former candidate Beto O’Rourke a unique position on his team to “be the one who leads” his gun control and confiscation push.

The position was announced as the two were on stage together for a campaign stop in Dallas, Texas.

O’Rourke first formally endorsed Biden, to which Biden responded with praise of his own and said he would give him the spot on his team.

“The man in the White House today poses an existential threat to this country. To our democracy. To free and fair elections. And we need somebody who can beat him. And in Joe Biden, we have that man,” O’Rourke said from the stage, as Breitbart reports.

“I guarantee this is not going to be the last you see of this guy,” Biden said of the Texan, before addressing him directly: “You’re going to take care of the gun problem with me. You’re going to be the one who leads this effort. I’m counting on you. You’re the best.”

O’Rourke made gun control a key component of his presidential campaign, promising to outlaw AR-15s and other rifles.

As Twitchy reports, Biden’s decision to name O’Rourke his “gun confiscation czar” did not go over well with Second Amendment advocates online:
