Democrats have not shied away from being as vocal as they can be when it comes to impeaching President Trump but their outcries seem to be taking a page from the man behind the curtain from the 1939 classic “Wizard of Oz”: All bark and no bite.
Conservatives have heard about Democrats wanting to impeach Trump for years but, according to a new report from the Western Journal, any potential impeachment is still a long, long way off.
“Democratic insiders say 175 of their members would vote for impeachment today on the House floor,” the Western Journal reports, citing Politico.
But, 175 votes is still more than 40 votes away from the 218 votes they would need to impeach the president.
Furthermore, that 175 number has not been reflected in the few times a motion to impeach Trump has been brought before the House. The latest effort, the Western Journal reports, only garnered 95 votes. A whopping 332 members voted to table the motion.

Despite failing to have enough support to impeach the president, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler initiated an impeachment inquiry process in his committee—allowing him to host committee hearings on the subject.
“Impeachment is imperative not because he’s going to be removed from office. The Senate won’t do that. But because we have to vindicate the Constitution,” Nadler said per the Western Journal.
“We are involved in an investigation to determine whether to recommend articles of impeachment to the House. That is what we’re doing,” the chairman continued.
He added: “The term ‘impeachment investigation,’ the term ‘impeachment inquiry’ have no legal meaning. They’re shorthand for an investigation into determining whether to recommend articles of impeachment.”
On Tuesday, Nadler issued a subpoena to have former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski testify. The hearing included a number of heated exchanges between the key witness and its Democratic members but failed to produce any damaging information on Trump.
President Trump responded to the latest push for impeachment in a tweet on Thursday morning where he called the Democratic effort “such a waste of time.”
All Polls, and some brand new Polls, show very little support for impeachment. Such a waste of time, especially with sooo much good that could be done, including prescription drug price reduction, healthcare, infrastructure etc.
