On Monday, Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez repeatedly told her supporters in a live video on her Instagram that the United States government was running concentration camps at the southern border.
As BizPac Review reports, in the video. the New York Democrat applied the phrase “Never Again” to the border situation. This phrase is associated with the Jewish community never allowing a global Holocaust to happen again, following the Second World War.
“The United States is running concentration camps on our southern border, and that is exactly what they are,” Ocasio-Cortez said in the video.
“I want to talk to the people that are concerned enough with humanity to say that we should not — that ‘Never Again’ means something,” she continued. “And the fact that concentrations camps are now an institutionalized practice in the Home of the Free is extraordinarily disturbing and we need to do something about it.”
She added, per BizPac Review: “I don’t use those words lightly. I don’t use those words to just throw bombs. I use the word because that’s what an administration that creates concentration camps is.
“A presidency that creates concentration camps is fascist and it’s very difficult to say that,” the Democrat said.
Here’s more, from BizPac Review:
Of course, the challenge for the U.S. government is a flood of humanity invading the southern border, overwhelming the capacity to process them, and the liberal media is making little effort to inform the American people of how critical the problem is.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection reported this month that agents apprehended 132,887 individuals who entered the country illegally in May alone — there have been 676,315 enforcement actions on the border in FY2019 through May, an increase of 99% over the same time last year, according to the agency.
