James Woods Responds To Students Protesting Kavanaugh’s Teaching Gig: ‘Clearly Too Stupid’

Students at George Mason University have the rare honor of listening to Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh as he is in contract with the school to be a visiting professor with the Antonin Scalia Law School.

However, some students at the university want Kavanaugh to pack his bags and get out of town. The Western Journal reports:

George Mason University made national news this week as an influx of students signed onto a petition which asks that university administrators terminate Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s teaching contract, in light of accusations of sexual misconduct brought against him during his confirmation hearings last year.

The group responsible for the so-called #CancelKavanaugh movement — and the resulting petition to “terminate AND void ALL contracts and affiliation” with the newly confirmed justice — calls itself “Mason 4 Survivors.”

The group’s petition represents more than 3,100 students as of Saturday — roughly equivalent to 12 percent of George Mason’s undergraduate population.

According to the petition, students want administrators to cancel their contract with Kavanaugh and to issue a formal apology to the student body.

Here’s more:

1. Terminate AND void ALL contracts and affiliation with Brett Kavanaugh at George Mason University.

a. Release any and all documents including but not limited to: emails, donor agreements, and contracts related to the hiring of Brett Kavanaugh as faculty at George Mason University.

2. Hold a Town Hall to discuss Kavanaugh’s hiring and implications for students and the university by April 25th 2019 and hold a public comment section, and inform students through their MasonLive email, one time (at the least) that said public comment section is taking place.

a. A formal apology from administration to survivors

Conservative actor James Woods said the students were “clearly too stupid to appreciate” the opportunity in front of them.

“Kavanaugh should offer his sterling character and extraordinary legal mind to a school worthy of him. Why waste it on a third rate dive where the students are clearly too stupid to appreciate him?” Woods said in a tweet.
