President Donald Trump met with Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) on Wednesday in another meeting on the border wall and security.
But the meeting didn’t end well when Democrats refused to even talk about having a wall and Trump walked out after they said they wouldn’t put the wall on the table.
But Pelosi apparently claimed the wall was pointless because people can always build tunnels.
People weighed in with how ridiculous that argument is.
And then freshman Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) chimed in.
Crenshaw repeated his point on Hannity last night noting that, yes, one needs a mixture of physical barriers and technology but that whenever Republicans talk barriers, Democrats just dismiss it out of hand. But walls matter, Crenshaw said.
“I’d love to see the Democrats my colleagues come down and climb over these things or tunnel under them as Nancy Pelosi suggested,” he said tongue-in-cheek, exposing the silliness of their claim.
