‘More Fries For The Good Guys’: Democrats Call For Boycott Of In-N-Out

Beloved fast-food chain In-N-Out has found itself on the receiving end of a boycott after it was found out they contributed financially to help the Republican Party in California.

The restaurant, known for its tasty and quick service, reportedly donated $25,000 ahead of the November congressional elections to aid Republicans.

Democrats are now fighting back.

Per Fox News:

In-N-Out reportedly donated $25,000 to the California Republican Party earlier this week, and the revelation has caused many who identify as Democrats — or just not Republican — to demand a boycott of the chain.

This is not the first time In-N-Out has donated to the GOP. In 2016 and 2017, the company donated $30,000 to the Republican Party for general expenses, LA Mag reported.

But the fast-food restaurant has also given thousands of dollars to support the Democratic PAC “Californians for Jobs and a Strong Economy,” a pro-business group created by Democrat David Townsend in 2009.

“Et tu In-N-Out?” California Democratic Party Chairman Eric Bauman tweeted with an article about In-N-Out’s donation.

Arnie Wensinger, In-N-Out vice president responded to the pushback and said, via Business Insider, “We have been fortunate to do business in this great state for almost 70 years. While it is unfortunate that our contributions to support both political parties in California has caused concern with some groups, we believe that bipartisan support is a fair and consistent approach that best serves the interests of our company and all of our customers.”

Some people online said they will continue to go to In-N-Out and will look forward to having to wait in a shorter line. Similarly, some people have expressed support for the restaurant:
